Arsenal Stun Manchester City

It was a surprising evening as a Santi Cazorla inspired Arsenal side stunned champions Manchester City today at the Etihad Stadium. There was a lot of surprises from the starting 11 with names like Ospinasurprisingly starting ahead of Wojciech Scezeny. And Ospina at a certain point in the game was not tested.
City lacked the powerful Yaya Toure who is away on International duties at the AFCON 2015 and many could well argue that his absence was the reason for the 'lack of creativity.'
Goals from Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud was enough to do the damage and put more pressure on City who are now 5 points behind leaders Chelsea and as fate will have it their next opponents will be Chelsea at the bridge.
The game started with City dominating in the early stages of the game but a resilient Arsenal side made sure they couldn't break in and their resilience paid off when Nacho Monreal was fouled in the 18 yard box by Vincient Kompany to hand Arsenal a penalty. The penalty was calmly scored by Santi Carzola.
City kept on pressing and dominating until half-time and their domination became even stronger in the opening stages of the 2nd half. A foul on Alexis Sanchez led to a free-kick that was taken by Carzola who found the head of Olivier Giroud and that was it. The game was over!
Impressive performance by Arsenal especially from youngsters like Coquelin and Hector Bellerin(personally, when I saw the starting11 I concluded that the game was going to go in City's favour-how wrong was I), who where always there to slide in and block balls to much frustration to City. Generally, Arsenal put in a wonderful performance and i'd give them a 9/10 for today.
Had they been playing like this all this while, we could be talking about a three-horse race in the league, and after seeing how they played today, they will want to continue playing like this to get one of the qualifying places of the champions league.
