Preview Of Today's EPL Games cont'd

Leicester city vs Aston villa
Paul lambert's villans, fresh from a FA cup third round victory against blackpool over the weekend, travel down to Leicestershire, where they will be hosted by leicester city in the king power stadium.
The contest proves to be an enthralling encounter, as both teams cruised to victories in the FA cup matches respectively. With Leicester surprisingly defeating Newcastle united. Nigel Pearson would make sure his team continue their recent run of form, winning two of their last three matches and drawn one, with a surprise come back against Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool, after Steven Gerrard had put them in front twice from two spot kicks.“We've got a lot of work to do. There's confidence and self believe in the air.” Nigel Pearson remarked at a press conference. Aston Villa head into this contest with just one win from five matches(D3 L1), having failed to score in four of their last five premier league games, and netting once in the other. While Leicester city are in a recent run of form(W2 D1 L2), scoring five goals and conceding six in the process.
Swansea city vs West ham united
The welsh side play host to the hammers, without their Manchester city-bound striker, Wilfred Bony, who is away on international duty. But they hope to maintain their recent momentum after thrashing Tranmere Rovers 6-2 in the FA cup third round last weekend. With Bafetimbi Gomis replacing Wilfred Bony in today's game, after scoring twice in their previous FA cup triumph. Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce's men head into this game with a recent poor run of form(D2 L2 W1), the latest being their draw against Everton at Goodison park, with Romelu Lukaku grabbing an injury time equaliser. But Sam Allardyce would try to prevent a repeat of that encounter, as he basks in the confidence of seeing off Gary Monk's men in their reverse fixture 3-1. While the Swans will be going all out for revenge on the back of their recent form(W3 D1 L1).Swansea city currently lie in ninth position with a win in today's encounter seeing them level on the same points with their opponent.                                           West brom vs Hull city
The Maggiess host The Tigers in one of the premier league fixtures for today. Both teams have been struggling for form since the start of the current premier league season, with none being able to find a rhythm to their play. This the third time this season, that both teams have met, with the reverse fixture ending in a goalless draw, and Hull city running away lucky winners with a 3-2 triumph over their opponent in the capital one cup.The Maggies recently appointed Tony Pulis, after sacking their head coach for dismal performances all through the first half of the league season. Against Arsenal, Hull city were unable to replicate the performance which saw them disposed Everton 2-0. Losing by the same scoreline that ended the Everton's match, and also failing to revenge their last season's Fa cup loss to Arsenal. But Steve Bruce will be hoping his team bounce back from their Fa cup third round loss to Arsenal, and claim all three points. Meanwhile, Tony Pulis will be hoping to start with a bang in the league, after his side thrashed non-league side; Gateshead fc 7-0, Saido Berahino scored four goals in that one sided encounter. Pulis was named Manager Of The Year, as he helped his former club; crystal palace escape relegation comfortably. And he's been called upon once again to rejuvenate a dying West brom side. Having lost three out of their last four premier league games, and winning one out of their previous ten in the league, sees them drop to 17th position on the league standings. However, Hull city are unbeaten in their last six league encounters against the baggies(D3 W3), with a recent form of (W2 L3). While the baggies goes into this game on the back of a poor form(W1 D1 L3). But Tony Pulis has a better head to head record against Steve Bruce, with four wins and two defeats.
Crystal palace vs Tottenham hotspur
Crystal palace play host to the in-form londoners, in what proves to be a homecoming match for Alan Pardew. A club he played for four seasons with a memorable winning goal against liverpool in the Fa cup semi-final in 1990. The visitors emphatically dispatch table toppers; chelsea, in an eight goal thriller, with the in-form Harry Kane bagging a brace, to further cement his status as a fast rising star.  Alan Pardew surprisingly left newcastle united, after guiding them to the top halve of the league table. And he also masterminded a shock defeat of the blues, who were unbeaten at that time. His first game in-charge of crystal palace, was the thrashing of Dover athletic 4-0. Mauricio Pochettino's men were held to 1-1 draw by struggling burnley in the third round of the Fa cup. And will hope his team put on a good show, when they visit selhurst park for the last fixtures of premier league games slated for today. Surprisingly, both managers are the only managers in the league to inflict defeat on Jose Mourinho's men, with a 2-1 and 5-3 wins respectively. The latter grabbed the headlines on the front pages of some notable newspapers. Crystal palace duo; Jedinak and Bolasie, are away on international duty. While Tottenham will miss the services of Erik Lamela(calf). Both teams head into this game on the back of different form. Tottenham stretching their unbeaten run to seven games, their recent five matches being; (W3 D2). Whereas palace has not been so impressive lately, with their last five matches being; (W1 D2 L2).
