The first FIFA/Coca Cola rankings for the year is out. Our dear super eagles of Nigeria remains unmoved in the 43rd spot they got for the december ranking. Interestingly, it was not just Nigeria that failed to move as there was actually no movement amongst the top 45 countries from last december. That means that Germany starts the year as world no 1 and Algeria still maintain no 1 spot in Africa. However, it is very likely that the super eagles will move in the February rankings and could even move down by some places as the CAF AFCON results will be used. Punishment for failing to qualify for the AFCON right? Till then.
